WORLD TERMS (Code Z spoilers)

Strain Area - An alternate dimension made of 0s and 1s that links together many other dimensions and worlds. Monsters known as Strangers reside here along with the Ludens.

Strangers - Monsters of the Strain Area that might've been originally Ludens at some point in time. Apparently, Ludens who stay in the Strain Area for too long can become Strangers. ARATA's programming non-sense seemly allows him to turn people into Stranger boss monsters through digging through a person's memory and using a summoning catalysis.

Eni - The source of the world's code that Iris used to built DE-1.5. This can also be used for money, but it's mainly there to repair damages done to people and the environment. Eni can revive the dead and it is also how High World people (ARATA and the Glitch Girls) stabilize themselves in the lower world. They require a very high amount of Eni to sustain their forms without turning into Strangers while Sayaka requires a much smaller amount. The Enis can also be harvested from human lives (which the Observers call 'NPCs')

Ludens - Beings who have been created through a person's memory. These can range from happy to traumatizing memories. Ludens have special abilities that put them above regular humans in various degrees. Humans can even potentially evolve into Ludens through a 1 out of 10,000 chance of going through 'Ludenification". A Luden can also read someone's memories for information through a process called the Luden's Syndrome. Heroes, video game characters, monsters can come to life as a Luden as long as there are enough memories to manifest them to life.

Code - The programming language that is the source of a Luden's powers and their memories. Shina's code allows her to shoot spider webs because she had a past life of being a spider for example. Lily can heal people due to her past memories of being a healing princess in DERQ 1. Alice's code is the blueprint for the World's Odyssey game engine. This also can be explained away as magic depending on the form of the code. (Plot tends to get very handwavy with how much code can get away depending on the plot. Like you can make ground softer to save people that fell out of buildings if the Luden wills it so for an example)

Sayaka possess the Ripuka code which gives her the powers of destruction. This means that she can destroy anything she puts her mind to and surpass regeneration and resurrection. The downside of using this code is that Sayaka taps into her original personality as Ripuka where her murderous impulses, bloodlust and rage takes over her rational thoughts. The Glitch Girls have also inherited the 'code' of the previous heroines in DERQ 1 along with their negative emotions and impulses while also being mixed with something else. (Ex: Lilith is a mixture of Lily's Bad Ending code along with being a vengeful earthbound spirit, Naraku is a mixture of Al's Bad Ending code along with being the corpse of an idol who committed suicide)

Degrade - Basically, resetting the world to a point where no damage has been done. It's basically a time reset where all memories and destruction have been erased to a previous point. Iris, Arata (normal ver.), Alice and the God of Death (the player) have control over degrades in the world and cause loops.

Upper World/World on High - This is the world where the observers come from. They basically are there to monitor lower worlds and determine if they are up for deletion or not. Erasing these worlds appear to be part of their 'Endbirth' plan that is still vague at the moment, but it appears to be for the sake of creating a utopia. The Upper World seems to be a technologically advanced dystopia where Observers are low-class citizens forced into doing their job by the higher ranks. They are basically programmers for their reality and the lower worlds are treated as computer simulations where they see the people living in them as 'NPCs' and not real people.

This will be a work in progress!
